Additionally, she served as a Community Educator for the Onondaga County Office for Aging Caregiver Services, and Alzheimer’s Association Joint Caregivers Institute, presenting on a variety of topics such as Brain Health, Hands-On-Care for Caregivers and Life after Caregiving Ends. She continues to serve as a Master trainer for Powerful Tools for Caregivers, an evidence –based 6-week program that helps empower caregivers to care for themselves as they go the distance alongside their care partners. In addition to working for SHS, Cherie serves as a Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern North Carolina.
Cherie’s expertise enables our caregivers to better serve clients’ companion care needs. Her nursing background and gerontological knowledge make her a valuable addition to our staff.
